Participate in a bootstrap effort to take a web-based public media / book publishing project national.
First-hand knowledge of the tasks and competencies required to publish, market, and manage a digital media service that supports TV broadcasting, Radio broadcasting, promotion, and fundraising components.
Cutting-edge experience and knowledge of emerging video specs and standards for presenting web video
Experience in online promotions and marketing
Projects:
Assist in updating site content.
Digitize, tag, and upload audio and video.
Distribute content to third party sites.
Promote new content through online marketing.
Assist in creating graphic files in PhotoShop.
Provide administrative support to staff.
Qualifications:
One year of college with a preferred major in Marketing, Communications, English, Digital Media, or Journalism.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to juggle multiple tasks.
Experience and easy familiarity with online social networking and video sites.
Technical aptitude with Microsoft Office applications.
Experience using PhotoShop, HTML, Flash, content management systems, blogging applications, and shared task tools such as Highrise desired but not required.
Experience in online marketing desired but not required.
