Learning Objectives:

  • Gain experience in program research and development, production scheduling, studio and location shooting, script-writing, and post-production techniques.

Projects:

  • Assist producers in all aspects of pre-production, production and post-production.
  • Assist producers in all aspects of pre-production and post-production on local television programs such as The WETA Guide, WETA All Access, and WETA Around Town.

Qualifications:

  • Two years of college education with a preferred major in Communication or Broadcasting.
    Strong understanding and application of computer technology to efficiently accomplish work, using Microsoft Office programs, email, and Internet.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of television production techniques such as scriptwriting, editing, and shooting helpful.
