Spanish Brass was created in 1989 by five Spanish musicians as an innovative project that quickly gained world renown. The award-winning ensemble has given hundreds of concerts across the globe, and is at the forefront of international music education. Luis Araya immigrated to Arlington, Virginia from Bolivia in 1966, when very few Latinos lived in the county. He reflects on the changes he has seen over the years and the influence of Latinos in Arlington today.
