November 16, 2009, 9:00 pm

This week, Classical WETA's Front Row Washington brings you highlights of the memorial concert for Dina Koston, pianist, composer, and co-founder and co-director, with Leon Fleisher, of the Theater Chamber Players, the first resident chamber music ensemble at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Many of Washington’s most notable musicians gathered at Bradley Hills Presbyterian Church in Bethesda on August 29th to play tribute to Dina Koston and her larger than life musicianship and personality. From the majestic organ where Donald Sutherland played Bach to the choir loft where Evelyn Elsing played a Bach suite for cello, Dina Koston’s best-loved music enveloped the audience. We’ll hear some of that music as well as her own compositions.
