Joel Fan, piano

A recital of all-American Music at the National Gallery of Art

July 12, 2010, 9:00 pm

Acclaimed as "superb" (The Boston Globe), "extraordinary" (The Village Voice), and a "versatile and sensitive pianist" (The Washington Post), Joel Fan combines virtuosity with a gift for lyricism.  In this all-American recital, Joel Fan will play Leon Kirchner's Sonata No.3 (The Forbidden) which he premiered in 2006. Also on the program, William Bolcom's Nine New Bagatelles (2006), Derek Bermel's Funk Studies (2004) and Elliott Carter's Piano Sonata (1945/1982).
