Musicians From Marlboro

In keeping with their long association with Vermont’s Marlboro Music Festival, the Smithsonian’s Freer Gallery of Art hosted the Musicians from Marlboro for the second of 3 concerts, February 19, 2009.  Peter Stumpf, principal cellist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, teamed up with young violinists, violists and a clarinetist for a delightful chamber music presentation including the folk-inspired Kodaly Duo for Violin and Cello, Haydn’s elegant E-flat String Quartet and Brahms’ autumnal Clarinet Quintet
