Combining the talents of three award-winning soloists, the Weiss-Kaplan-Newman Trio embraces music of the future while offering fresh insights into three centuries of masterworks. Founded in 2001, the trio's latest CD on Bridge Records features Paul Chilara's Ain't No Sunshine, which the trio commissioned. The Weiss-Kaplan-Newman Trio performs at the National Academy of Sciences with guest artists Edwin Kaplan and Sel Kardan, violas, and Kurt Muroki, bass joining them for Mendelssohn's Sextet.
