Houston Grand Opera

July 11, 2009, 1:00 pm

Massenet's version of the Manon story may win out when it comes to pure tunefulness, but if you're looking for outright passion, it's hard to beat Puccini. In this Houston production, the title role is taken by Karita Mattila, one of the most heralded sopranos on today's operatic scene.
