Commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Death of President John F. Kennedy

Mark the 50th anniversary of President John F. Kennedy’s death with a commemoration on Friday, November 22, including music by Beethoven, Schubert, Duruflé, African-American Spirituals, and other works referencing a significant moment in or theme of President Kennedy’s life. Prelude begins at 5:10pm; mass begins at 5:30pm.

Event will be held at St. Matthew’s Cathedral, 1725 Rhode Island Avenue, NW, site of President Kennedy’s Funeral in 1963. Rev. Bryan Hehir of Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government will be the homilist. Free and open to all. More information can be found at stmatthewscathedral.org or by calling 202-347-3215.
