Acclaimed author Terry McMillan reads from her recent work. McMillan’s Getting to Happy is the sequel to her best-selling novel Waiting to Exhale. Her first novel, Mama, won the American Book Award. Other notable works include Disappearing Acts, How Stella Got Her Groove Back, and The Interruption of Everything. She has been recognized with an NAACP Image Award and the Essence Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence in Literature.
