Jesús Reina has been recognized as one of the most remarkable performers of our time, hailed by critics as a violinist “with a beautiful sound characterized by true musicality, temperament and charisma” (El Pais)As an international concert artist, Jesús Reina has collaborated with renown conductors Eiji Oue, Pinchas Zukerman and Valery Gergiev and has been invited to perform inAustria, England, United States, México, Canada and Russia, in prestigious halls. After attending various institutions Mr. Reina graduated from the Manhattan School of Music as a pupil of Patinka Kopec and Pinchas Zukerman, receiving the “Raphael Bronstein” award. Mr. Reina is also recipient of the “Queen Sofía Award” to the most outstanding violinist, cultural award “Doors of Andalucía” and has been named Artist-in-Residence of the Salzburg Voice Festival, opening with a concert at the legendary Leopoldskron Palace. The performance featured the premiere of “Four Last Songs” by Richard Strauss,arranged for Voice and Piano Trio by the Artists-in-Residence, and will be broadcast on New York’s radio station WQXR.
