The awakening of new life inspired Richard Wagner’s gentle "Siegfried Idyll", and Dvorák’s "Bagatelles" capture changing moods and scenes. In an annual tradition, the orchestra is joined by a choral consortium of friends, this time dedicated to Schubert’s supremely melodious Mass in G Major.
A reception will follow the concert.
A pre-concert lecture, part of the "Insider's Guide to Music" series, will be held the day before the concert (Saturday), at a location to be announced. See the Amadeus Concerts web site (http://www.amadeusconcerts.com) for location information. This lecture is free and open to the public.
