A Turkish-Jewish Festival will be held at Tikvat Israel Congregation, in the tradition of the Sephardic monthly "vijita," or get-together.
Ms. Trock will talk about her personal journey as the daughter of a Muslim/Turkish father and Sephardic/Turkish mother during Shabbat services, which start at 9:30 a.m. Services will be followed by a Kiddush with Turkish desserts. Afterward, a panel will relate the stories of their Sephardic heritage.
