World House: Voices of Change, Sounds of Freedom - Opening Reception

This year’s World House will open with a reception and discussion Friday, 26-October, at Charles Sumner School Museum and Archives, 1201 17th Street NW, Washington DC 20036 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. The reception will feature a performance by Blues Alley’s Youth Jazz Ensemble and a discussion with Randy Weston, Jazz Pianist and NEA Jazz Master and Willard Jenkins, Jazz Educator. They will discuss the African Influences of Jazz and how Jazz has been widely received throughout the world. This reception and discussion is free and open to the public.
