We are looking for talented and engaging teen girls for a documentary series titled BLACK WOMEN UNSCRIPTED. The film will examine the impact of popular culture (music, reality TV, social media, print media) on the psyche and self-image of young girls of color. Through compelling interviews, girls ages 12 –18 will share their personal perspectives on the portrayal of African American and multicultural women and girls in media and its effect on their behavior, educational attainment, role in society and aspirations.
We are looking for the following:
1) Teen girl being raised by single father.
2) Teen girl raised in challenging, urban/inner city environment (family dynamics may vary) with aspirations to beat the odds and attend college.
3) Teen girl with mother who has been or is currently incarcerated.
4) Teen girl being raised in supportive, two-parent household.
