What better way to warm up in this fall weather than the 2nd Annual Discover Virginia Chili Cook Off this Saturday, Nov. 10 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Greene County Community Park?
Whether you like your chili hot, hot, hot or the basic red variety, this event promises to tempt your taste buds and keep your family entertained with live music, children’s activities and of course beer and wine for the adults. It’s the perfect way to relax and sample some great food. Plus, the popular People’s Choice Award is back and you can try out your friends’ and neighbors’ submissions. Who will wear the crown this year?
This family-friendly event is affordable and right down the street, just five miles from the intersection of routes 29 and 33, at 379 Mays Rd. in Ruckersville. Tickets are $5 for the chili tastings and $10 for the beer and wine tastings. Bring your chairs and canopies and stay all day. For more information go to discovervirginia.net.
