The New Orchestra of Washington (NOW) presents a moving program of music and poetry written to both commemorate and provide meaning for challenging periods of our history. Typical of this vital, young ensemble's eclectic programming, Sounds of Remembrance will feature works ranging from Olivier Messiaen to Pink Floyd and Wendell Berry to Maya Angelou - promising to take the audience on a poignant tour through aural memorials.
