Join Classical WETA Host David Ginder for “A Royla Occasion” featuring the music of George Frideric Handel that commemorated the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. The concert features the grandeur of Music for the Royal Fireworks and the festive anthem Zadok the Priest, performed at every British coronation since 1727. Rounding out the program is the Utrecht Jubilate and the Ode for St. Cecilia’s Day, on words by John Dryden in honor of the patron saint of musicians.
