The Smithsonian Encore Chorale will present a FREE Spring Concert, "A Tribute to American Composers" on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 7:30pm at the National Museum of the American Indian. The public is invited to attend. The Thayer Brass Quintet will also be performing.
The Chorale will present a program of American music favorites. The spring concert program includes American art songs, the music of Stephen Foster and Aaron Copeland, and a medley of crowd-pleasing Ira and George Gershwin songs. You’ll leave the concert humming Gershwin tunes and inspired by the talents of the Smithsonian Chorale singers!
