Hood College's Summer Chamber Music Festival presents its fourth of five concerts July 18 at Grace United Church of Christ in Frederick, Md. Noel Lester, pianist and concert manager, will perform a recital with commentary, “The Riches of Rags.” Tracing the evolution of ragtime from its roots through modern compositions, Lester will play works by Gottschalk, Foster, Joplin, Confrey, Gershwin and many others. The concert is free and no tickets are required.
