Violinist Dr. Rami Kanaan and Pianist Bettye Cooley Perform Mozart Sonatas

Three beautiful sonatas by W.A. Mozart will be featured in a concert by Violinist Dr. Rami Kanaan and Pianist Bettye Cooley on Saturday, July 13, 2013, at 7 p.m., as part of the Oakton Church of the Brethren Community Concert Series. The hour-long concert, in a lecture-recital format, is free admission, with donations accepted. Reservations are not required; just come, take a seat, and enjoy!

The church is located at 10025 Courthouse Rd., Vienna, Va., where Courthouse Rd. intersects Rt. 123 near Oakton.

About the Musicians:
Currently, Dr. Rami Kanaan is an adjunct professor of violin at Northern Virginia Community College (Alexandria Campus). He graduated with honors (first prize) from the High Institute of Music in Damascus, Syria. He completed his Master of Arts in violin performance, Graduate Certificate in college teaching, and Doctorate of Arts in higher education at George Mason University.

Bettye Cooley received her M.M. in Piano Pedagogy and Performance from George Mason University. She maintains a private piano studio in the Centreville area and is active as a church musician.
