Steven Honigberg, a member of the National Symphony Orchestra and founder and member of the Potomac String Quartet, will perform with the Amadeus Orchestra for the opening concert of its 2013-2014 season. The program will include:
Mendelssohn: Overture to "A Midsummer Night's Dream"
Tchaikovsky: Variations on a Rococo Theme
Schubert: Symphony No. 2
There will be a pre-concert lecture one hour before the concert.
A reception will follow the concert.
Individual tickets are $30 and may be purchased at the door or online at http://www.amadeusconcerts.com. Season passes are $160 and may be ordered at the same web address. Students 17 and under are always admitted free of charge.
