Each October the streets of Bethesda Row are transformed into an outdoor art gallery of spectacular fine arts and crafts for sale from some of the nation’s outstanding artists and crafters selected for technique, originality, and art quality. The finest in ceramics, drawings, fabrics, glass, graphics, jewelry, metalwork, paintings, pastels, photography, printmaking, sculpture, wood and mixed media will be on display from 190 artists from throughout the United States and Canada. In addition to original artwork, attendees enjoy some of the area’s best musical acts, food and dining, plus hands-on children’s art activities. This fall festival favorite will be held Saturday, October 19, 11 am to 6 pm and Sunday, October 20, 10 am to 5 pm. The Bethesda Row Arts Festival continues the tradition of free attendance while financially helping kids through NIH Children’s Charities by raising funds and awareness for NIH’s Camp Fantastic/Special Love, Inc., Friends of the Clinical Center, and The Children’s Inn. The 16th annual Bethesda Row Arts Festival is free to the public. The festival is two blocks from the Bethesda Metro station and 15 minutes from downtown Metrorail stops.
