The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Rockville (UUCR) is launching a new venue for live music in Rockville: the Tree of Life Cafe. The first show is Friday October 11th from 8-11 PM in Founders Hall. We'll feature bluegrass band Mama Tried. Mama Tried is a progressive bluegrass band featuring the stellar vocals of Dede Wyland and Randy Barrett. The group performs both original and traditional songs and has appeared at the Kennedy Center, The Birchmere and the Washington Folk Festival.
