The Kosciuszko Foundation is the premier Polish-American organization promoting cultural, educational, and artistic exchange between the United States and Poland. Annually, the Foundation supports students, scholars, scientists, and artists with more than one million dollars in awarded scholarships and fellowships. Events such as our Fundraising Gala are among the Foundation’s most generous sources of funds to continue its educational and cultural mission serving Polonia and Poland.
The Foundation will host this year’s Gala at the prestigious Army & Navy Club on October 26, 2013, from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. This year’s Gala will honor Lt. Gen. Edward Rowny, a distinguished commander and diplomat, and one of the most prominent leaders of the Polish-American community.
The evening’s program will include a Chopin concert presented by accomplished pianist Brian Ganz, a Polish Character Dance performed by a Washington ensemble of classical ballet dancers, and a Polonaise led by one of our local artists. Complementing the performances will be a superb dining experience as well as a silent auction and raffle.
