AYPO Presents “Music from Books and the Big Screen”: Free for 18 & Under with the American Youth String Ensemble & Conductor Laura Cahn and the American Youth Philharmonic with Guest Conductor Kenneth Woods. PROGRAM AYSE: "Wedding March" from A Midsummer Night's Dream (Mendelssohn arr. Ryden), Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (Bricusse and Newley arr. Longfield), "Bella's Lullaby" from Twilight (Burwell arr. Wilson), Highlights from Harry Potter (Williams arr. Story), and The Red Pony (Copland arr. Morales). PROGRAM AYP: Symphonic Suite from On the Waterfront (Bernstein) and Symphony No. 2 in D major, op. 43 (Sibelius). Instrument Petting Zoo: learn about the orchestral instruments that you see played on stage! Fun for audience members of all ages and free with concert admission. TICKETS are free for ages 18 & under, free for music teachers, $20 adult, $10 seniors (65+), and $10 college students. Comps for Kids is generously sponsored by the Corina Higginson Trust.
