Richmond based pianist, Jim Pettis, performs Rhapsody in Blue for solo piano, George Gershwin’s 1924 classic composition known for its novel combination of classical and jazz influences.
Presto Productions presents a recital by Richmond-based pianist Jim Pettis who is celebrating his 50th anniversary year of public performance. A former child prodigy, Pettis went on to studies at Juilliard under Eugene List, and has performed across the U.S., in numerous European concert halls, aboard the QE II, and for many official city and state events. He is a recipient of an NAACP Freedom Award.
