The Jewish Community Center of Northern Virginia (JCCNV) hosts the 14th annual Northern Virginia Jewish Film Festival. Eleven contemporary Jewish-themed and/or Israeli-made feature films contribute heart, history, humor and hope. Opening night is March 20 at the JCCNV and includes dinner, film and program; the documentary “When Comedy Went to School” provides the laughs. From March 22-30, Angelika Film Center and Café at Mosaic is the festival home and presenting sponsor. Films to be screened include “Aftermath,” “Dancing in Jaffa,” “The German Doctor,” “Igor and the Cranes’ Journey” (DC Metro Premiere), “The Jewish Cardinal,” “Quality Balls: The David Steinberg Story,” “Süskind,” “Two Sided Story,” “Under the Same Sun” and “The Zigzag Kid.” The schedule, descriptions and programs are posted at www.jccnvarts.org.
