In celebration of The Art League's 60th Anniversary in 2014, each month the Gallery will revisit and reflect upon a major art movement from over the last six decades with a special exhibition.
The Pop Art movement originated as a reaction to the Abstract Expressionist movement. In recognition of Pop Art, artists are encouraged to use everyday objects, advertising, comic books, and cultural references in their work.
Juror: Robin Nicholson, VMFA Deputy Director
Opening reception: Thursday, April 10, 6:30 pm
