The legendary La Scala opera house in Milan has represented the pinnacle of performance for more than two centuries, and to study at La Scala is the dream of young virtuosos. This performance, at the close of the Year of Italian Culture in the U.S., brings the best of La Scala’s Academy to Strathmore in a program that includes classics by Verdi, and music by 20th century Italian composer Nino Rota.
