DC Shorts Film Festival 2014

E Street Cinema

This year the DC Shorts Film Festival features great storytelling from around the world-- 135 films, 5 screenplays, several genres, from 25 countries. And if you come to the opening weekend showcases, stay for the Q&A sessions with visiting filmmakers and sicvoer the backstories you won't find anywhere else.

Dreams, Hallucinations, and Nightmares: The Films of Pen-ek Ratanaruang

Freer Gallery of Art

One of Thailand’s most acclaimed directors, Pen-ek Ratanaruang mixes humor, fantasy violence, and the supernatural. He visits the Freer to present three of the films in this retrospective, cosponsored by the Royal Thai Embassy.
