8th Annual African Diaspora International Film Festival, Washington DC

Goethe-Institut Washington, the German Cultural Center

The African Diaspora International Film Festival (ADIFF) is back in Washington D.C. for its eighth annual edition at the Goethe Institute. From August 22-24, 2014, eight documentary and fiction films will transport audiences overseas to Egypt, Madagascar, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay along with two films focusing on the African American experience. The festival also includes two catered receptions and Q&A sessions with filmmakers after selected screenings.

DC Shorts Film Festival 2014

This year the DC Shorts Film Festival features great storytelling from around the world-- 135 films, 5 screenplays, several genres, from 25 countries. And if you come to the opening weekend showcases, stay for the Q&A sessions with visiting filmmakers and sicvoer the backstories you won't find anywhere else.

The 8th Annual African Diaspora International Film Festival

The African Diaspora International Film Festival returns to Washington DC for its eighth annual edition! From August 22 to 24, 2014 at the Goethe Institut, ten films—including eight DC premieres—will be feautured that will take audiences through the United States, Egypt, Madagascar, Sierra Leone, Cuba, Brazil, Venezuela, and Argentina.
