On the evening of January 9, WETA helped celebrate Folger Consort’s performance of Vivaldi’s most sacred piece, the Gloria. The evening featured the National Cathedral Choir, soprano Rosa Lamoreaux, countertenor Roger O. Isaacs, soprano Ah Young Hong, and a Baroque orchestra led by violinist Robert Mealy. Robert Aubry Davis of WETA’s Around Town hosted a pre-concert discussion and Classical WETA Vice President and General Manager Dan DeVany introduced the performance. WETA was on site with giveaways and station information.
