The [Southeastern] End of Montgomery County

Dear WETA: I just watched The WETA Guide to Montgomery County. The program traveled from Rockville [almost] to the four corners of Montgomery County. But you seem to have left out one corner, our corner of Takoma Park, Maryland. I watched until the end of the program to see your cameras come to our Old Town and Historic District (1,450 acres, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places), but it was not to be. Perhaps there is still time for Takoma Park to become a "DVD Only extra?"

One compelling story of Takoma Park is that Takoma Park is still on the map (even if not on WETA's map), in part due to the creation of the historic district, which was established in order to counter a transportation plan that would have routed the "North Central Freeway" through the center of town.

There's a lot more... I encourage your producers to come here and start working on that "DVD only" extra.

Regards

Robert Lanza
