Nick and Sally accompany the Cat on a nighttime adventure to the forest of Wagamaroo, where the Cat lost his hat. Along the way, they learn about animals that stay up all night. Later, the Cat takes the kids to the beach, where they meet a hermit crab in need of a new shell and take in an undersea fashion show.

The Cat takes Sally and Nick to a forest so that Sally can pick flowers for her ill mother. Along the way, they meet three creatures that depend on flowers to survive. Later, the kids build a snow Cat in the Hat, but panic when it begins to melt. The real Cat, however, knows where to take it to keep it intact: the cold, snowy Arctic.
