Aquila Theatre: Cyrano de Bergerac

One of the most vibrant characters in literature comes to life in Aquila Theatre’s stunning production of Edmond Rostand’s classic tale of unrequited love. A man of many talents and with a notoriously large nose, Cyrano longs for the beautiful Roxane who he believes could never have feelings for him. Suffering in silence, he instead expresses his love by helping a handsome but simple-minded suitor win her heart, thus beginning a decades-long love triangle. Based on an historical figure, this famous French play still delights today and has attracted some of the world’s most renowned actors for the lead. “Beautifully spoken, dramatically revealing, and crystalline in effect,” raves the New Yorker about this inventive British-American touring troupe, whose mission is to present the classics in a style that delights modern audiences.
