Dean's Discussion with Nobel Prize Laureate Thomas C. Schelling

As part of the series of AU events commemorating the 50th anniversary of President John F. Kennedy's "Strategy of Peace" address at American University's commencement in June 1963, Dean Goldgeier will host a Dean's Discussion with Dr. Thomas C. Schelling. Dr. Schelling is the recipient of the 2005 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences for "having enhanced our understanding of conflict and cooperation through game-theory analysis," including in his classic work, The Strategy of Conflict. Dr. Schelling served in the Economic Cooperation Administration in Europe, and held positions in the White House and Executive Office of the President, Yale University, the RAND Corporation, Harvard University and the University of Maryland.

This event is free and open to the public.
