TOO of a KIND (A MouthPeace Theater Production)

June 14, 2013 – This summer, MouthPeace Theater Group welcomes TOO OF A KIND, a play
about an unlikely friendship between a hearing straight woman and a deaf homosexual man that
refines the definition of family. A blended performance of Hip-Hop Theater & Visual Arts Theater this seriously comical play brilliantly bridges the gaps between hearing and deaf communities while addressing social stigmas.

“It brings these stereotypes to the forefront, proving that they’re not only untrue, but destruct the
very fabric of what it is to be a human being. You see these two characters find a common ground
of understanding throughout the play and how they get to that point is truly moving.“ says Mervin

TOO OF A KIND is a sponsored project of Art Lives Here, an initiative showcasing creative life in the
Gateway Arts District of MD. Princess Best and Mervin Primeaux star in the production, together
they form MOUTHPEACE, a performing artist theater group producing works of healing art that
encourages diversity and expand language communication.
