Communicating the Presidency: Presidential Photographers

Ninth Annual McGowan Forum on Communications
What is it like to photograph the most powerful person in the world? The presidential photographer documents history, capturing moments in time from official events to behind-the-scenes and private moments. Join us this evening and be transported through time and the administrations of four presidents as viewed through the lens of their photographers. Accompanied by the projection of photographs on screen, they will discuss their experiences and personal recollections of photographing the presidents. Moderated by TBD, panelists include veteran presidential photographers David Hume Kennerly (Gerald Ford), David Valdez (George H.W. Bush), Sharon Farmer (Bill Clinton), and Eric Draper (George W. Bush).
