Film: Inocente

Join the Smithsonian American Art Museum for a showing of the documentary, Inocente. Told entirely in her own words, Inocente is a coming-of-age documentary about the determination of a teenage artist who struggles as a homeless undocumented immigrant amid a lifetime of personal challenges and bleak circumstances. The film won the 2012 Academy Award® for Best Documentary Short Subject. A panel discussion with the filmmakers follows the screening.
