This position is responsible for the management and administration of WETA’s Benefits and Compensation functions under the direction of the VP of Human Resources. Benefits will be the area of priority and emphasis. The Manager is responsible for developing strategic employee benefits, and managing and administering compliant, correct, competitive, and financially sustainable health and welfare, dental, life insurance, leave, cafeteria 125 plans, and tax-deferred savings (e.g. 403(b), 457(b)) benefit plans and programs for both non-union and eligible union employees of WETA.
The Manager is the organization’s expert on benefit plan interpretation and adherence to policy, guides and counsels employees, and coordinates employee benefits and compensation matters with stakeholders in HR, Payroll, Finance, and Legal and is responsible for managing and evaluating outside vendor relationships. The Manager assures compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations and assures through audits, reports and personal contact that company benefits and compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with company policies and government regulations. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate benefit and compensation data and files, performing data analysis, and providing professional, accurate, courteous, proactive, and high-quality service to employees at all levels of the organization. With the VP of HR and other key stakeholders the Manager develops and implements systematic solutions for benefits and compensation delivery in order to be efficient and responsive to WETA’s goals and industry practices.
This position is in the Human Resources Department and supervises no staff.
